I saw this article from Glamour and got super excited. I see all the candy colored Lipsticks from Maybelline in Target and I get home and sometimes I am like...ugggh not what I thought. You know when you put on a new shade of lipstick only to find it looks completely different on your mouth than in the tube? Soooo frustrating, right? But here is how to fix it and not waste money!!!!
Well here’s how actress Keke Palmer’s makeup artist, Autumn Moultrie, pulled off the true-to-shade deep burgundy on Palmer. She is so cute right. She actually put foundation right over her lips before applying any lipstick. Sure, it blocks out all your natural lip color, but that’s exactly the point: When you then slick your new hue on top of the foundation, you get the real shade itself, not the diluted or altered version that comes when a lipstick color blends in a little too much. Love that highly pigmented shade Palmer is wearing? It’s Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Colour in Hysteria, and CoverGirl makes a similar hue called Bistro Burgundy Cream. So now no worries any color you get can always look like the color in the tube! LOVES IT!!! Thanks Glamour!
