Body Treatments: Steals
1. EOS The Evolution of Smooth (Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream): Can I just say I love this product! And it's only about $4.00 at Target. Coming from the world of shaving (Gillette), where foaming gel is squirted out of a traditional can which you then take and slather onto your skin, I feel a bit guilty loving EOS as much as I do. But...OH well. It's a rich creamy shaving cream that is almost like lotion; which allows you to use it for both wet and dry shaves (and it really works for dry shaves- no water needed). It contains natural ingredients, including aloe, oat and shea butter to not only soothe but leave skin really soft. It also contains Antioxidant Vitamins C and E. With super cute packaging, this is truely one to give a try IF you can break away from the Humdrum of Foaming shave gels. LOVES IT!
2. Soap And Glory Sugar Crush: Have you seen this Fabulous and funny Line of products in Target yet? If Not I implore you to pick up any of the products and read it; too funny and as entertaining as the wording on the Vitamin Water bottles. This is a jumbo tube of crushed brown sugar, sweet lime, almonds oils and macadamia grains (sounds like a cookie right?) that leaves your skin so smooth! NO LIE! Lets not forget ladies it's okay for some of our friends to be flaky, but never should your legs! As the jar says "It's Sugar baby"! Use Sugar Crush in the shower once, twice or three times weekly, depending on the level of scaliness you struggle with. Four times if you've ever been labeled "old lizard legs." Gotta Love their wording- too funny! LOVES IT!
3. Olay Body Wash Plus Spa Ribbons: Okay, okay. Yes, I have to give a nod to my old Company (especially since I kinda just dissed them above) but honestly these ribbons are super moisturizing; a must have as we get into those colder scaly-skin months. Spa Ribbons gently lather and clean the skin while delivering intensive moisturizing stuff. The ribbons: one is for cleansing and one for moisturizing; they sit side by side in the see-through container but do not interact until they are mixed with water (like gremlins but not as scary). Try it...and I DARE you to say your skin isn't soft and has that moisturized feeling. LOVES IT!
Body Treatment: SPLURGE
1. Carol's Daughter Sweethoneydipchocolatebrownsugah Scrub: Did you say that while moving your neck and snapping your fingers (laughing)? I did. It is indeed a mouthful, and a handful of delight! Lets start with the scent. It is an enticing concoction of chocolate and honey aromas, laced with sweet vanilla bean-- mmmmm. YUM! It helps to polish away dead skin cells (and make you hungry), while natural oils moisturize your thirsty dry skin. It softens dry skin without leaving it greasy! Touchable Kissable skin LOVES IT!
2. Ojon: Tawaka "The Ball": Okay this sounds sort of ominous- "The Ball"- but it was so cool looking I had to try it. But this puppy isn't cheap at about $55.00 for one ball. However, it's a stimulating treatment and a full-body polish inspired by a cleansing ball used by the Central American Tawaka tribes. Sounds a bit technical right? But The Ball prepares pores for treatment by removing dirt and oils and smoothing skin texture. I was supposed to buff the ball in a circular motion to simulate circulation on my skin; but the first time I used it I had no idea, so I was like rubbing it back and forth (shaking my head now at my brain lapse). Once I decided to read the instructions it felt surprisingly good; because of the shape it also worked as a massager. My skin looked polished and felt smooth with a sort of satiny finish and no greasy residue...Thanks Central America! The Ball has no artificial colors, sulfates, or lets just say all that other bad stuff. And here is a fun fact: it contains the same antioxidant amount as 2,834 lbs of blueberries!! WOW! This is definitely one to try if you are looking to splurge a bit! LOVES IT!
3. C.O. Bigelow: Derma Remedy Intense Dry Skin Body Lotion: I used this after an extremely harsh winter in Boston and from then on I keep a bottle handy in case my skin gets too dry beyond belief...which it does about 10 times a year. This miracle in a bottle (it has the first aid sign on it for a reason) cures signs of severely dry skin in just three days (No LIE). My skin felt moisturized and back to normal within a day really. What I really like about it is that it contains 6% Latic Acid (you guys know how I loves my Acid) which promotes the shedding of dead skin and stimulates new healthy skin cells (i.e. summer glow in the winter time). You use latic and glycolic on your face to promote healthy glowing skin so why not treat your body the same way.
It also contains Vitamin E and Borage Oil which, I found out in my research, helps to reduce inflammation, dryness, scaly skin (a.k.a lizard skin) and itchiness (side-note: perfect for peeps like me with eczema). Boy, I learn something new everyday. Absolutely LOVES IT!
