To exfoliate since I cannot run out to the spa for facials as often, I am using Origin's Modern Friction it contains the same crystals used in microdermabrasion which is why I LOVES it! Don't scrub too hard though. Sometimes I like to combine it with my cleanser and gently cleanse and exfoliate.
The next thing in my skin care regimen is of course moisturizer I do you used different ones for day and night. I use IsClinical Moisturizing Complex in the day it goes on smooth but at almost $80.0o a pop use it sparingly. Under my Isclinical though I use a sheer sunscreen like Neutrogena (the face one) with a SPF 30 (regardless of if the sun is out or not).
At night I use Boots Intensive Nourishing Serum which I found in Target I LOVES it because it goes on smooth and is very light reminds me of Origin's A Perfect World Serum (Which is also Fab too by the way). I also use Boot's Eye and Lip Correction Serum at night as well.
Like everyone I am sure, I sometimes wake up with blemishes (no doubt from picking at pimples Stop it!) but to attack spots and pimples I use Origin's Spot Remover! Honestly IT works! BUT because it contains salicylic acid you have to be careful on how you apply it I use the tip of my eyeliner brush and apply directly on the pimple like on the top and directly on blemishes. Applying it on unaffected skin will have you peeling for days trust me!
Every other day or so I like to use Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel by Skin MD. It's perfect! Especially if you cannot get a professional peel this will tie you over believe me. Use it after you have cleansed your face it's amazing and will leave you with that tingly feeling. It firms skin, treats enlarged pores and make you feel like you just left the esthetician.
I finish with a Lip Butter by Korres mentioned in previous blog or good old Fashion Carmex.
Next Time Other Skin Care solutions to try (I have tried them too and you won't be disappointed) Hope this helps!

Hey Ingrid. I have been looking for something to help with my acne. Think I'll try the Origins Spot remover. I'll let you know how it goes :-)

Monica that will work but for a facial cleanser you really want an Anti-Bac foam cleaner like NeoCeuticals Antibacterial Facial Cleanser - PHA 4 6 oz, or MD Skincare's All-In-One Cleansing Foam; or Obagi http://www.obagi.com/article/homepage.html those are good for Acne Type Skin. But whatever you decide you should visit a derm or medical spa to find the best choice for your skin type.
ReplyDeleteBeen to dermatologists and I have been given Duac and Differin but no true results. They wanted to put me on Accutane (Isotretinoin) but I don't want my babies to be born with 3 eyes :-/
ReplyDeleteI will look at these facial cleansers. Thanks :-)
Monica
No problem; and yes I would hold off on the Accutane as well!
