1. Neutrogena: Wave Power cleanser and Deep Clean Foaming Pads: If you cannot splurge on a Clarisonic Cleansing Brush this is perfect for you. The Wave is a battery-operated water-resistant cleaner, which helps your cleanser perform WAY better. It comes with deep cleaning foaming pads, which honestly doesn't foam up all that much. What I do is I add some of my cleanser to the pads and that lathers up much better. I like this because it's a good deep clean and exfoliator all in one. It removes dead skin cells and reveals smoother softer skin. The wave has a gentle vibrating motion which also massages the skin. It opens the the pores for removal of dirt and make-up. I can see it opens my pores and helps to bring all that yucky stuff inside to the surface (if you use a a Biore strip afterwards there will be tons of stuff on it). LOVES IT!!
2. Soap and Glory: Scrub your Nose In It: Okay I have already said how much I love this Line it's great; and if you go on their website and send in old pictures of your family members they may use them as cover-girls on their products, how cool right? Okay onto the product, I like this one because it is versatile one-stop-shopping (great if you are on the go or traveling and don't want to bring 3 different tubes) it's an impressive exfoliator, which turns into a mask too! Told you this line is cool. "Use Scrub Your Nose In It, two to three times a week for squeaky clean, soft and radiant skin." LOVES IT!!!
Splurge: Cleaners and Scrubs

1. Ole Henriksen of Denmark, Inc. African Red Teas Foaming Cleanser: This is a very serious skin care line, which delivers results every time; and right now for Beauty Insiders Only (which you should all be) you can sample the WHOLE line in a testing package at Sephora for only $35.00; the foaming cleanser may be a Splurge (at $30.00) but that Sephora package is a STEAL. This cleanser is for all skin types and contains anti-aging botanical extracts like African red tea which strengthens the skin, slows the aging process (never too early to start) and soothes the skin (more of my research). It also contains Borage Seed Oil a moisturizing extract as well as Vitamin C. It's is soothing and the fact that it is a foam and doesn't dry your skin is a un-real!! Give it a try or purchase the whole line! LOVES IT!
2. Kate Somerville Exfolikate: Cute name right Exfolikate (chuckling) I like her moisturizer and of course really liked her scrub too; but girlfriend is expensive ($85.00) most certainly a SPLURGE. Too bad it really works though, it's the next best thing to actually going to seeing Kate yourself in the clinic (which is a bit pricey as well). Exfolikate is a clinical-strength intensive exfoliant that helps free skin of congestion and improves a lifeless dull complexion. I use this product VERY sparingly a little goes a LONG way! It combines both chemical and physical exfoliation. Active papaya and pineapple enzymes (my spa goers knows this enzyme is in almost every facial treatment) helps to eliminate dead skin cells, banish bacteria to reveal a healthy rosy glow while small micro-beads lift away dirt. Honestly this is a great product in combating acne and discoloration. If you are really suffering from acne or in need of a truly no holds bar product to deliver results, this is worth every penny! LOVES IT!!!
3. Lancome Galatee Comfort Comforting Milky Cream Cleanser: All my dry skin ladies put your hands up! This one is for you! I have used creamy cleaners before and sometimes it feels like it doesn't really CLEAN your skin. This one I tested with a white cotton pad after washing my face and no residue no dirt! It works for dry skin because of the creamy base; creams are usually best for dry skin whereas foaming cleansers are best for people with oily or acneic skin. Depending on the time of the month you could be more of one than the other or have both (combination); which is what I have that is why I use two masks sometimes one for oil control and purifying in my T-Zone and a moisturizing one for the other parts of my face, but I digress. this cleanser leaves dry, tight skin exceptionally plump and pliant. It feels good coming on and after you take it off! LOVES IT!!!

I am LOVIN the "Steal vs. Splurge" section. For students like me, it's good to know what products I can get at a cheap price. I'm headed to Target after a long study session to look at the "Soap and Glory" products. I need to treat myself to a nice facial and body scrub :-)
ReplyDeleteYES! The Sugar Crush is GREAt and I think it's still on sale at Target for 10% off!!!
