All About Mascara Week: Covergirl LashBlast Length

Okay ladies this week will be all about your lashes!  We will be testing some of the latest and greatest in Mascara technology and showing you the results as well as letting you know how easy it comes off and how long it last, is there flaking? Does it thicken, lengthen, or volumize

Today's Test subject is Covergirl's LashBlast Length.  This formula is a "new Elasta-Nylon™ formula" that " flexes without flaking, giving you extreme, notice-me lashes all day long. Our longest brush ever gives you an 80% longer lash look*". So says Covergirl but we decided to put it to the test!

I started off by priming my lid with Covergirl Invisible Concealer in Tawny and then I lined them using the new liquid Liner from Maybelline NY: Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner (which is a great liner but honestly not that easy to use as the applicator bends to much for me and would be easier in my opinion if it were stiffer).

Below you can see my eyes before Mascara, don't laugh. They are lifeless, crinkled little hairs; and almost non-existent against that powerful liner (please note I didn't use an eyelash curler).

They look a bit dull. Especially the lower lashes.

 Another view with NO Mascara

And here is the transformation:

You can see they are definitely Lengthened
No Clumping and another view to see the length.

Better View, you can really see the difference in the bottom lashes.

My conclusions: Well LBL did come off easily just with regular washing, it doesn't clump or flake later in the day. However, did it give me volume not really, or thickening, no, and it does not look like I have fake lashes on. But, I see LBL as a very reliable mascara – it may not do much for thickening and volumizing, but it does lengthen my lashes, keep my curl and it never clumps or flakes.

Should you add it to your beauty arsenal...well wait till the end of the week before you make a decision!

Have your tried LBL before? Will you now? What do you think of the before and after? Comment let us know!
