I Am Seeing RED...Glosses!

Red Lips are so "IN" but you don't have to go to the extreme RED to achieve that I-Just-ate-a-red-Popsicle-stain look or a nice glossy everyday red. So I have combed the shelves and the online stores to find something that will work for multiple skin tones.

I must admit I have never been a real fan of red lipstick (on me). I was always a pink kind of girl.  The first time I wore red was about a year and a half ago (I refuse to believe wearing the Cherry Red Wet-n-Wild lipstick in high school counts). It was for my Wedding Rehearsal dinner. I went to the MAC store for a make-up application and was going to get my trademark pink or nude lips when the rather Fabulous make-up artist (Sammy) and my even more Fabulous Bridesmaid convinced me I needed some POW Red lips (MAC Russian Red Lipstick and Gloss) to go with my POW rehearsal dinner dress. I caved and had stand-out lips all night. I must admit I was a bit self conscious; it looked different to see so much...well...lip! But a part of me felt empowered and a bit bold and sexy. Since then I have embraced all sorts of red tones and have started wearing glossy reds on a daily basis.

One of my personal favorites is e.l.f's Plumping lip Glaze in Ruby Red. One side is the clear gloss lip plumper, which actually gives your lips a sort of tingly feel. The other side to this dual is a tinted color gloss in a very rich sheerish red. It's such a great everyday red gloss.

The best part of this little tube of goodness is that it's only $1.00! Yep that's right it's only a buck! I couldn't believe it either! Did I mention it's pretty moisturizing to boot!

Another fabulous Red Gloss from e.l.f  is their Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Slipper. It's an intensive hydrating agent along with natural pigments that leave lips with long-lasting color and moisture. This luscious liquid lipstick especially in Ruby Slipper creates wearable color that flatters a multitude of skin tones and looks.

To activate simply twist pen 10-20 times or until color is seen. Layer on color. Reapply over and over. Oh and did I mention this little Luscious pen is also $1.00! Recession Proof Red glosses!

LOVES IT!
